Bruce SpektraLite mood lighting systems simplify the coordination of all of these into a harmonious lighting presentation. Our cutting-edge lighting solutions are designed to enhance the passenger experience, improve energy efficiency, and reduce maintenance costs.

        SpektraLite utilizes state-of-the-art LED technology to provide superior lighting quality. Our LEDs are up to 40% lighter than traditional OEM systems and use 60% less power, making them an eco-friendly choice for modern aircraft. The SpektraLite mood lighting system can assign luminaires to up to 16 separately programmable lighting zones. Once programmed, the complex lighting presentations can last from seconds to hours, and can be set in motion with the push of a single button. Bruce’s easy-to-use lighting Scenario and Editor tool runs on standard laptops and tablets, allowing the user to control the lighting system in real time. It also allows the finished lighting designs to be quickly and easily loaded into the mood lighting system. The customer’s custom color palette can be created using a known coordinate system (the CIE 1976 color space), or custom colors and intensity levels can be intuitively adjusted using simple linear controls in real time.

        Versatility Of Control

        Whether you want to control the mood lighting system using existing cabin lighting controls or you desire more sophisticated control features, Bruce has you covered. In Standalone mode of operation, the Bruce mood lighting luminaires are controlled using the same  aircraft side signals used to control the OEM cabin lighting. Existing flight attendant controls can be used to actuate lighting scenarios that are stored within each Bruce luminaire. The number of lighting Scenarios available to the customer in this mode of operation is dependent on the aircraft model and type.

        In Network mode of operation, supplementary mood lighting control units are added to the system. These additional units enhanced the versatility of the Bruce mood lighting system by expanding the amount of lighting presentations available to the customer and add special features not typically available through the OEM lighting controls. Bruce also offers different lighting control interface products such as touch panels and membrane key pads, which can be custom tailored to the customer, allowing the user to upgrade from the traditional rotary switch/manual button lighting controls often found in older aircraft.
